Eligible families are given cashless health services in private as well as government hospitals under this scheme. The purpose is to reduce the expenditure incurred on health. The scheme was launched by Vasundhara Raje in Rajasthan and targets BPL (below poverty line) patients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim of the BSBY<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To give financial security against illness<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make the health status of the status better<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creation of a database for making policy-level changes in healthcare<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To revolutionize healthcare in rural areas<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Features and Benefits of the Scheme<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This scheme is for the identified families who are covered under the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) and the National Food Security Act (NFSA). IPD patients can avail of cashless treatment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scheme is by the government (Medical and Health Department).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It provides services against a fixed premium\/family\/year on a floater basis. That is, the eligible families need to pay a fixed amount every year to enjoy the coverage benefits.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every eligible family is given Rs. 30,000\/year for general ailments and Rs. 3 lakhs for critical illnesses.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the expenditures incurred on hospitalization, expenditure up to 15 days and 7 days before hospitalization has also been included.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The chosen insurer for this scheme is the New India Assurance Company. This insurance company offers very attractive insurance plans at affordable premiums and with comprehensive features.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no age bar and family members can also gain coverage. While the OPD (Outpatient Department) expenses are covered, transport allowance for polytrauma and cardiac cases amounts to Rs. 100 to Rs. 500. Pre-existing illnesses are also covered.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A mobile application has also been launched to help people track their applications.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The insured will get to choose from 1045 packages under general illnesses, 500 packages under critical illnesses along 170 packages for government hospitals. The scheme will cover expenses related to medicines, beds, consultant\u2019s fees, implants, nursing and boarding charges, blood, transportation allowance, consumables, food for the beneficiary when hospitalized, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>BSBY Claim Procedure<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the applicants (only residents of Rajasthan) need to have an Aadhar card to be used at the time of registration, as well as their BPL cards. The beneficiary needs to show the policy card along with other personal identification proof during admission to the hospital. Once authorization is obtained, treatment commences. Only applicants with the Bhamashah card can avail of the policy benefits. They should have an account opened under this scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Documents required<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prescription of the doctor<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Valid photo ID of the patient<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indoor slip<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Valid ID of BSBY beneficiaries (a copy of ration card\/RSBY card)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Photos of the patient both at the times of admission and discharge<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discharge ticket<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Investigation reports\u2019 copies<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Basically, the process is manual, where the applicant needs to visit a network hospital with the required documents and get their application form filled up by the appointed individual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Bhamashah Card<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This card is a new scheme of the Rajasthan government to make women the head of a family. The eldest woman in each family in the state gets this card, after which the government opens a bank account in her name. This is for women empowerment. The Bhamashah card is linked to the beneficiary\u2019s mobile number.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Downloading the Bhamashah Card<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You need to register your name at the SSO portal of the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visit<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/sso.rajasthan.gov.in\/signin<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Login to the portal with your SSO ID, captcha code and password<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tap on Citizen App and click on Bhamashah<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Again, click on E-Bhamashah Card and provide the required information<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, you can download the card<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One can also update the Bhamashah Card bank account by visiting<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/emitra.rajasthan.gov.in\/content\/emitra\/en\/home.html<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and logging in to eMitra. Tap on Bank Detail and enter the required receipt number. You will be directed to the page with your bank account details where you can make necessary changes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talking of activating the card, you will first need to register your name under this Bhamashah scheme. Select Bhamashah Citizen Enrollment and enter your registration number.
