For appendicitis diagnosis CT scan (computerized tomography) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) may be done to confirm the disease and to find other causes for the pain. These tests also show the signs of inflammation, blockage and organ rupture.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the treatment for appendicitis?<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Generally, appendicitis requires surgery for treatment. Prior to the surgery, you may be given some medication for treating infection. Incisions serve as the passageway for excess fluids and gases.
